OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G Gets OxygenOS 12 Update

OnePlus has begun rolling out the OxygenOS 12 update to its Nord CE2 5G users. Based on Android 12, this update brings improved app icons, enhanced textures, AI System Booster 2.1, and improvements to the face recognition authentication feature. The update also improves the skin color of different figures and is available to users in increments through OTA updates. While the update may initially only be available for a small percentage of users, it will likely reach a wider audience in a few days.

The update can be downloaded from the OnePlus website. It is 4GB in size and requires at least 30% battery life to be successful. Users are encouraged to update to the new version to enjoy new features, like the two-finger pinch gesture. The update also brings July Android security patch. In addition to the OxygenOS 12 update, users can now download various software updates for their OnePlus smartphones.

OnePlus started rolling out the OxygenOS 12 update for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G about three months ago. A more stable version of the update was released to the open beta channel in mid-July. Finally, OxygenOS 12 also introduces Scout, a one-stop shop for searching and finding information.

The Android 12 OxygenOS 12 open beta for OnePlus 7 has started rolling out for users in India. The update will include the OxygenOS 12 open beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series.
