Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Could Offer IP67 Water Resistance Rating

One of the biggest letdowns of Samsung’s tablet lineup has been its lack of ingress protection (IP rating). While the company does offer an “Active” series of rugged tablets, it doesn’t have a similar feature for its flagship tablets.

Luckily, this is rumored to be changing soon. According to a report by SamMobile, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series could be the first to boast an IP67 water resistance rating.

Water Resistance

According to a report by SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series could offer an IP67 water resistance rating. This would be a significant change for the company’s flagship tablets.

Since the launch of the Galaxy Tab S8 series last year, many users have been asking for dust and water resistance on their tablets. It seems like Samsung has finally heard their calls.

The report comes courtesy of SamMobile, which says that the upcoming tablet will get an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. This will be a huge deal for many users.

Currently, there are only two tablets in the market that have an official IP67 waterproof rating – the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.

Dust Resistance

Despite being one of the most popular tablets in the market, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series has lacked dust and water resistance for quite some time. As a result, users were constantly asking for this feature to be added to the device.

As it turns out, Samsung has finally decided to add dust and water protection to the tablet line. Its new flagship tablets, which are expected to debut this year, will now offer IP67 water resistance rating, reports SamMobile.

This is a welcome upgrade to the current trend of tablets not offering any kind of water resistance, which is something that modern mobile phones have come to be known for. According to Phone Arena, an IP67 rating means that your tablet can theoretically be submerged for up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Ease of Cleaning

Samsung makes it a point to ensure that Galaxy phones and tablets are easily cleaned. This is mainly to avoid any potential harm caused by dirt or debris on the screen and other components.

However, cleaning is also a necessary part of using a Galaxy device hygienically. To make sure your tablet stays in tip-top shape, you’ll want to clean it at least once a week.

Fortunately, there are several Galaxy cleaner apps available on the market that can help you remove junk files and free up space on your Samsung. One such app is Coolmuster Android Assistant (Android Version). It’s professional and easy to use, and is suitable for Samsung users to manage their device effectively.

Battery Life

The Galaxy Tab S9 Series could be getting an IP67 water resistance rating, which has long been a feature that tablet users have been waiting for. It is a notable addition to the device that will help it stand out from the crowd and become more desirable for new uses.

The IP67 rating is a standard for water and dust protection, and it will allow the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series to be used in harsher environments than other tablets. It may even make the tablet more useful in bathrooms or kitchens where it could be used for multimedia or other purposes.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Tab S9 Series will be getting the IP67 rating this year. It is expected to debut along with the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold foldables in August 2023.
